If you want food as fresh as it can be, visit the Harkstead Farmers' Market in Suffolk near the Essex border. The market takes place in the Village Hall every third Saturday of the month  from 9am - 12pm (Noon), with over 30 participating specialist producers.

The majority of stallholders are primary producers, growing what they sell. A quarter offer meat products, including specialities such as locally reared beef, chicken, lamb and pork, with oak smoked meats and cheeses.. Other types of produce include fish, free-range eggs, cheese, seasonal fruit & vegetables, honey, chillies and plants. In addition you'll find producers who bake and prepare their own products. Guest producers provide specialities including organic jams, cakes, aloe vera products, bread & pies, teas, pesto, chutneys and crafts.

 Next Market April 20th

The children's Easter Colouring Competition was as usual a very special event. Twice a year we are amazed at the talent of these children. Well done to all the children and especially to the winners.

The March market saw the return of the Art Club, who display and sell their art work in the committee room.

I believe from now on we will be seeing them every three months.
